Avernakø Havn
Avernakø harbor is located on the northwestern tip of Avernakø. The port is close to the ferry port, where the ferry Faaborg III departs for Lyø and Fåborg. The port was built in 1994, so it is a relatively new port. Avernakø originally consisted of two islands. The two islands were connected in 1937 by a long dam. There are about 100 people living on Avernakø. The port got new bathing and toilet facilities in 2012. There is free wireless internet throughout the port. Bicycle rental is available at the ferry shed right next to the harbor, so you can get around the island.
There is a grocery store on the island where you can stock up and order breakfast for delivery at the port the next morning. During the summer there is a small café by the harbor.
